Principal’s Journal
Wow, a full week of classes mixed in with a little snow on Wednesday. I have to admit that last Sunday gave me a little bit of spring fever and I believe it might have given some of our students a little bit of spring fever. I mention that to remind you to review our dress code in the student agenda located on the bottom half of page 11. Please understand that students are not allowed to wear pants with holes above the knees. I would also ask you to talk to your child about staying focused in class and being more focused on their academics (keep their locker organized, be in their seat and ready to begin class when the bell rings, and to listen in class).
Highlights
· Reality day was a tremendous success for our 8th graders. I believe some of them learned a very valuable lesson in regards to personal finance.
· We want to thank all of the volunteers that came by to help with the reality day activities. Your support and help allow us to do some great activities with our students.
· We also want to thank everyone behind the scenes that went the extra mile and gave their extra time to make sure everything went smoothly for our students and our volunteers. We want to specifically notice our cafeteria staff and Mrs. Austin for their help organizing a fantastic lunch for our volunteers, while also making sure all of the student lunches ran smoothly like every other day!
